Hi! I'm 35m and I I've been struggling for a long time trying to find products that work for me. I've spent a lot of time and money trying to find an ideal routine but I always end up feeling like everything I try makes my skin look worse.
I'll see one review praising niacinamide (just an example) and add it to my shopping cart and then another redditor specifically trying to avoid it, but it's hard for me to understand why. I'll spend hours online researching, and then I get overwhelmed and frustrated.
I think I have oily skin. But I've never had acne, I rarely get any pimple, and I live in Florida where it's really humid so it's hard to tell.
My main concerns are pore/wrinkle visibility, general aging, and oily looking skin.
I like my skin to look matte, and it's hard to find products, because many highly raved about products are geared toward the glass skin trend, which is not for me.
I also struggle with debilitating ADHD, so routines have to be dead simple for me to stick to them.
My ideal routine would be something like: Face wash>Toner pad>Sunscreen/moisturizer
I have been recently using:
Clean it Zero original face balm (someone online said it was good for oily skin, but someone else said it's not. Seems fine so far)
Mediheal collagen firming pad. My main concern (apart from shine) is preventing wrinkles/smile lines/general aging l like the idea of these, but they leave my face feeling tacky, and I just want to rinse it off.
I was using Neutrogena hydro boost water gel sunscreen, but I want to stop using Neutrogena altogether.
I just purchased but have not tried:
IsNtree green tea cleanser and toner (I read that these are good for oily skin)
Iunik centella calming moisture sunscreen (Is this actually a moisturizer? Can it be used as a moisturizer and sunscreen?)
CosRX hydrium green tea aqua soothing gel cream (Is this overkill to use under the iunik sunscreen?)
Is there a better toner or something I should be doing instead of any of these products?
I'm willing to start over with all new products but I feel like I'm at the point where I just need someone to tell me exactly what to do
If you've read this far thank you so much!
