Is Bonds a HOF’er if you look at only his seven years in Pittsburgh?
Alternate reality time. It’s November of 1992 and Bonds is a beloved player of the game. Adrian Beltre levels of loved, but he tragically passes away in an accident through no fault of his own. Is there a shred of hope that the BBWAA would amend their 10-year HOF rule to give the possibility of eligibility to Bonds? And if so does he make it in?
50.3 WAR, 984 hits, 176 HR’s, 251 Steals, .883 OPS, two MVP finishes, a top two finish, three SS, three GG’s all before 28 years old.
Is there any possibility baseball would break its own rules to give the chance to someone who, if they hadn’t of tragically passed, been a no doubter one day?
