For me at farmingdale, called south of CAPTREE in the south practice area and got put on downwind till after the stacks in the north practice area. Took about 40 minutes with holding patterns and S turns

(For those not from New York I crossed Long Island south to north)

Made a post about holding short earlier and reminded me of this.

After holding short of the runway for about an hour at farmingdale, I started wondering what’s the longest any of yall have had to hold short and what’s the best thing to do with the time?

I spent the hour holding brakes till my feet cramped and taking pictures of landing jets.
