Ideas to grow the All Will Retire community?

Our burgeoning community on Reddit has almost grown 133% in ~3+ weeks (almost four).

Making it warm and welcoming to all has been super important. It let's people participate if they want or gives lurkers reasons to come back and check in on us. One day they will decide to participate and we will have even more discussion here.

Also making this a community that has fun (our signs & memes) but also has a serious aspect of it where we discuss strategies to grow wealth, approach the market, our experiences coming up with plans and executing, also creates value for others that are looking for similar information and discussions.

And our signs are great at leaving people curious while also conveying our mindset and draws people in.

What are other peoples ideas? It would be great to continue this momentum to grow this Reddit community but also continue to push our mindset outside of Reddit and also have some live events someday.

Would love to hear what others think! No wrong ideas, even if atypical and outside of the box. We are here to grow together and stay open minded. 😊

Does anyone actively manage their 401k? Especially in this market run up?

I typically have just set my ratios of funds that I want to invest in for my 401k and not pay to much attention to it. I do check its progress but just kind of casually.

Given that the market is cooking I was considering maybe moving some of my funds into a stable cash fund to put back in once the market corrects some. How much it will correct 🤷‍♀️. But this is infinitely more management of my 401k that I have done before.

Does anyone else actively manage their 401k? If so why? Do others not actively manage it? If so why?

Would love to hear from you/others on what you do/don't do and what has worked well.

Got a chance to enjoy some nature and touch some grass yesterday with my dog.

Having a great time taking photos and spreading the message of AWR. Does anyone want to play hot potato with our signs to have some fun? Form a little group of individuals where once one person takes a photo we pass the "take a photo potato" off to another person?

What do you think u/Charlie_awr u/SandyisBlessed u/Old_Stage_77

And if anyone else is reading wants to play let us know. We can see how long we can keep the chain/passing of the potato going? Maybe we someone takes a photo within 48 hours if they get the potato passed to them? If they know they aren't available they can pass it on.

Just a fun little game to make out of our signs.

The article is behind a paywall so if you need to you can access it with archive[dot]today (which might redirect you to the [dot]ph domain).

Pretty short and sweet summary of what the market is doing today, how investors are actually cognizant of relevant metrics/data that lead to companies evaluations, as well as talking about how current consumer sentiment isn't reflective of what the stock market measures (companies performance) but in the future could impact as the impacts of higher oil/gas prices hits consumers.

It has been echoed from others that the impact of oil/gas prices and consumer spending will take time to materialize in companies earnings. Of course this may never come to be the case but most of what I am hearing is about how the immediate shocks won't materialize right away (except at the pump - which is ouch).

Again I think this is a short and sweet summary of where we are in time and space.

What do others think? Or do you have some other articles that you have read that refute this?

Just like our signs, this community is sacred.

It has brought people together to

  • Discuss financial security and peoples high-level approaches to building it as well as day-to-day plans that are being executed (e.g. trading stocks/crypto)
  • Evangelists of the movement and mindset (I Will Retire, We Will Retire, All Will Retire) through creating content and putting themselves out in the real world
  • And have fun doing it (our signs and memes)

It is something worth holding close to you, protect, and continuing to build together.

There are people I noticed over the past week that I wanted to show appreciation for and recognize! I sent you a little AWR for your contributions to either moderation/helping people get their posts approved, content creation, and/or discussions (both posts and comments).

Thank you u/Charlie_awr u/SandyisBlessed u/ImpressiveFix6513 u/rmn_swiss u/TX_RON1N u/Old_Stage_77 u/Infectz1337

What do others think? Who do they see making contributions to this community and growing the Reddit? Would love to hear so I can keep my eyes out for them in the future as well.

Seems like good earnings from major tech players recently but it also seems like the market is leery of their massive CapEx that seems like it will expand even into next year.

When the markets do see concerns it seems like they are taking big hits such as Meta.

What are people’s thoughts? Seems like the market wants to push up as long as the status quo of the Iran ceasefire persists. Maybe I am over valuing that as well.

Anyone spreading out the portfolio more and reducing some tech holdings? Would love to hear opinions.

As I said Monday I am trying to preserve capital while there is uncertainty in the markets. Want it for one of the SpaceX, OpenAI, or Anthroptic IPOs.

Oil ripped up today on the announcement that Iran will stay blockade until there is a nuclear deal.

I’ll be looking at levels of support and seeing where their might be some good buys if we test lows again.

Other than that just been doing little DCAs here and there. DCA’ed some into tech ETFs, SPX600, AWR, and BTC.

What is everyone else’s thoughts at this point in the week? Would love to hear.

It has been amazing to be part of a community that is so welcoming of others. It feels like we are building a home for ourselves and for some many others that need one. Whether they know it or not yet.

The community grew tremendously as a result of our openness and kindness last week. Wanted to send token of my gratitude and appreciation for making this a special home for all and growing the All Will Retire family.

Thanks to (in no specific order): u/SandyisBlessed u/rmn_swiss u/Loran_Lachen u/Charlie_awr u/ImpressiveFix6513 u/Infectz1337 u/Old_Stage_77

I am sure there are others too but that is who I saw/recognize. I will keep a look out for you that are kind, welcoming, and building AWR for the future.

I also want to shout out and recognize someone who is doing it one day at a time. I'll leave it at that but you know who you are and we see you.

So many more layoffs today announced:

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/04/23/microsoft-plans-first-voluntary-retirement-program-for-us-employees.html

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/04/23/meta-will-cut-10percent-of-workforce-as-it-pushes-more-into-ai.html

Some many people are struggling to just make it month-to-month with their finances, even software engineers, and the disruption from AI that cause employers to layoff employees, especially from companies that are profitable just hurts these individuals more.

Note I am pro-AI but in general in todays state it feels like AI is used as an excuse to layoff individuals.

I know everyone doesn't understand why people are building AWR. That's OK. A lot of these people though are looking for ADDITIONAL ways to improve their economic situation, even if we need to engineer solutions ourselves. Even if they look atypical.

The individuals in AWR aren't idiots. We aren't all putting our eggs into a single basket. People also invest in stocks, ETFs, options, bonds, whatever. But AWR gives us an opportunity to do something about our problems vs. sitting around and just despairing and raging without an outlet.

Some people just don't get it. AWR isn't just a cryptocurrency. It represents people that are doing something about their situation instead of waiting around for others to do something for us (especially our politicians that move so much slower than a group of organized people).

We won't wait around anymore. AWR gives us agency to try anything and everything to not feel like we are falling behind or waiting on others.

Anyone else feel the same?
