Sorry, I know that's a really broad question, I'm still dipping my toes into this so I don't know a lot.

I'm finishing my first year of nursing school, which went really well grade-wise, but I've failed all my practicals, so my teachers recommended me studying to work as a lab technician. The whole thing has been a blow to my confidence, so I want to know beforehand what it's like being a technician before trying something new.

I'm pretty smart (or so I've heard) and I'm pretty quick on the uptake of theoretical subjects, I'm just kind of a klutz and not great with social pressure (one thing im really worried about is dropping samples or materials that cant afford to be wasted).

Is there a lot of practical work in the lab or is it more like data analysis? Do you have to socialize a lot? I can't imagine for what reason but I guess you never know.
