Hi! My friends and I are starting a YouTube channel focused on urban exploring, and we’re trying to find the best cameras for our setup.
Our biggest challenge is that many of our locations are in complete darkness, so we’re specifically looking for cameras with true infrared night vision (not just low-light performance).
None of us are very familiar with cameras, so what would you recommend that has the following features:
- Budget: $100 - $200 USD per camera (we plan on buying 2)
- Country: United States (Michigan specifically)
- Condition: We wouldn't mind something used if it's reliable
- Type of Camera: IR Night Vision Camcorder
- Intended use: Filming urban exploration trips for our YouTube channel
- If video what style: Vlogging
- What features do you absolutely need: Night vision (needs to be able to see in pitch blackness), lens stabilizer (we'll be moving around a lot)
- What features would be nice to have: at least 1080p / 30fps
- Portability: Pocketable, easy to carry with one hand
- Cameras you're considering: I'm not sure yet, I'm starting my camera search here!
- Cameras you already have: None
