I got a large cabinet just for my roaches, and put a ceramic heat emitter in the top of it. Inside I have a regular like outdoor weather thermometer with the sensor on the inside of the tank and the monitor on the outside, which is supposed to read inside temperature. Then I installed a cheap nanny cam with an app inside the cabinet so I can creep on my roaches and read temperatures any time I want to without disturbing them. The other night my wife and I got to watch one of the females air out her ootheca for a while. Just thought I’d share since I don’t have too many people that would appreciate putting this much effort into some bugs
