Orlando ride success

I have visited Universal in Orlando in May 2023 and September 2024. I couldn’t fit on: Velocicoaster, Forbidden Journey or the Hulk. I even got the dreaded “walk off” of Hulk in 2024.

Since those visits I’ve lost over 80lbs. I was still nervous about those bloody test seats but I’m one week into my trip and I’ve got green lights on EVERY SINGLE ride in all the parks.

I have been on hulk (my nemesis) FB journey and Velocicoaster - this rollercoaster is so amazing but terrifying. At the end of my first ride, I turned to my husband and declared that I wish I had never lost weight 🤣

Went to the new theme park, Epic, last night and got on the big thrill coaster Stardust racers with NO shenanigans. Again, that another terror ride.

My sister is with me and she lost the same weight an having the same successes. The feeling of having ride ops just give your seat restraint a wee check instead of the previous wrestling moves to staple me on? Amazing. Being able to experience these rides with my husband? Incredible.

Definitely the biggest success I have had so far and I’m *finally* realising my journey so far.

Incredible first night

We’re visiting from UK and had our first night at Epic on Saturday. We arrived about 6:30 with the plan of just having a wander to see the park at night.

We have tickets that give us access for the full week coming, so no rush to get everything hammered in one day.

Ended up riding the carousel, stardust racers (15 min wait) having some food at pizza moon, wandering around and staring in awe. We then spotted BOTM at a 30 min wait, headed over and it dropped to 25. We got on and off the ride/queue in 21 minutes. I still cannot believe that!

We spent around half an hour exploring the Harry Potter world as it was absolutely dead and probably the only chance we’ll get to see it so empty and get great pictures. Ended the night with the fountain show. Loads of people were running to Mine cart which dropped to 45 mins.

Epic is so stunning, especially at night. So buzzed to get BOTM on such low wait times. Looking forward to seeing the other lands and rides now.
