So December 30th I had a CWD, I had been having headaches everyday since before Thanksgiving and a CT at the ER when I was unable to move my neck revealed a cholosteatoma had re-developed.
December 31st I had an allergic reaction to Levofloxacin (around Thanksgiving they gave me Ciprofloxacin and I had a reaction but they didn't put it down as an allergy and with the headaches I just didn't think about it).
Ear was producing some green goo and my external ear had been unbearably itchy to the point that it was swollen from the itching.
I was ignored for the goo until the other ear got infected and they cultured the ear and told me they can't help me and send me to an infectious disease doctor. (All the ear drops that would work with tubes contain Ciprofloxacin and I am also allergic to Amoxicillin)
6 weeks ago I got a PICC line and started on an antibiotic to which I had an allergic reaction to (possibly-more to come on that).
I had a follow it with my ENT and the ID doctor wanted me to check to see if he would schedule imaging to see if the infection was in the bone so I asked and he said "of course its in the bone, there is nowhere else for it to be"
After that unhelpful comment the ID doctor decided to schedule me for and MRI with contrast, which happened a couple days ago. I read the results and it said "shotty lymph nodes, parotid gland asymmetrically enlarged, and RESIDUAL cholosteatoma."
The residual made me see red and honestly I am not interested in going to see this doctor again how do you leave some behind when you literally took out the whole ear canal. I am going to see if he will refer me to a neurosurgeon about putting a metal plate to protect my brain, because I honestly can't continue to deal with these surgeries especially after this one I am traumatized. I don't really care if it messes with my nerves or anything else at this point.
I read up on a couple of these things and some options were infection (but again I have been on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks now), potentially could be related to an autoimmune disease (i do have alopecia), allergic reaction (I do have seasonal allergies but I have been taking benedryl and xyzal) and lymphoma or leukemia (which would suck but I don't think that is it).
At this point I am tired and do not want to deal with this anymore--its been damn near 5 months. I also think I need a new doctor and am in the process if finding one.
