Is this just the predicament of blue belt? I have been going for about 3 years but so much of jiu jitsu doesn’t click for me still, and i believe its because of the way i roll. Very interested in the technique and like to think i have good habits, but when rolling i cannot find myself to pressure w shoulder, going head under the chin, or using a bunch of strength against the people i go with. I think i try so hard not to give the impression of not being a dick when i roll but i have done so much flow rolling and as a smaller dude 155-160ish lbs just find myself constantly getting passed or in bad positions. Im putting in effort but im feeling like the lack of intensity has taken a toll on my rolling habits. Also did a little wrestling in high school so have been very comfortable standing up but led to a very hesitant and basic open guard game too. Find it Hard to be motivated when i love the sport so much but i cannot find myself to b strong in certain positions or not accept being passed without feeling like a dick but also get so frustrated with myself. Does anyone feel similar or how did you overcome it? Need some reassurance lol
