Hey everyone, I'm getting into podcast clipping and trying to figure out fair pricing.
I've been editing short clips from long-form podcasts for a while now and I'm thinking of offering my services at $0.50 per 1,000 views as a performance-based model — meaning creators don't pay upfront, only based on how the clips actually perform.
Is that a reasonable rate from a creator's perspective? Would you consider working with someone on those terms?
Also curious — what do you guys usually look for when hiring a clipping editor? Quality, turnaround time, niche experience?
Would love to hear your thoughts! 👇
