Whatever bit me woke me up in pain

This happened this morning, when I was sleeping on my couch in NW Arkansas, inside, under a blanket.

I’m attaching several pictures. The ones from immediately after the bite or contact, are circled at the points of contact. You can see the raised lesions. It was an intense, burning pain. My skin is oily in the pictures bc I applied triamcinolone and an antibiotic soon after.

The pain lasted for about an hour. Even the slightest touch to the spot was like touching a match to my skin. And I was somewhat nauseous/lightheaded. By tonight it looks like the later pictures and the pain has largely passed. The pencil was added for scale.

Thoughts? Ideas? TIA!!
