Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what else I should do. I bought a smart TV from walmart on 4-11-21 with a 4 year protection plan with allstate. A few weeks ago the TV started randomly turning off on its own. Now it won't stay on longer then 5 minutes. I found my confirmation emails from walmart about my coverage and how to file a claim. It's taken me multiple phone cals and chats but today I was told by allstate that my plan was cancelled by walmart on 4-18-21 @ 4:11pm. 7 days after I purchased the TV and plan. I called walmart and was told they can't even find my order number in their system but to call back in 24 hours and see if progress has been made in locating it. Called 2 days later, no record i ever called before. Was told order# cannot be found still. Asked for a supervisor, got one, was told my order was placed before they updated system, that only he would be able to find it. Was told he needed to contact allstate to reinstate my policy and to wait for a confirmation email from him saying it was done. Never got an email, and all state told me a policy never could've been reinstated, only a new policy could've been started. Called Walmart again and was told the supervisor name i was asking for does not exist. Do not buy protection plans from Walmart, and customer service just lies to get you off the phone. The only ones who responded , were honest with me and helpful at all was allstate. Its ashame theyre working with Walmart. But id love to hear if anyone else has had something like this happen and what they did.
