Firstly, it’s possible to attribute anger/disgust as two things at the same time. The lack of fight and quality in this team is obvious, and there will be plenty of dissection on that.
What cannot be swept under the carpet is the incident with Brobby that ended up with Romero being injured and having to leave the pitch.
Genuinely the most utterly fucking disgusting example of how bizarre and useless the referee and VAR combination are.
As much as rivals and media will revel in Spurs’ demise, if VAR is unable to be used to punish a player on a yellow card who cynically injures two fellow players, then what is the point in any of this. Cards, referees, VAR.
A genuine disgrace; and we’re supposed to sit here and be gaslit into “yeah but Spurs should just be better” narrative and accept it.
