International Worker's Day

When: May 1st starting at 1 pm
Where: Corner of Redwood Rd and Castro Valley Blvd
No school. No work. No shopping.
Unions are a big part of the force behind International Worker's Day aka May Day. It is a fight for rights in the workplace. These same powers helped provide us with 8-hour work days, weekends, and even removing children from factory floors.
We honor this history one week from today as we stand for basic human rights. The fight for our rights seemingly never ends. However, it only gets worse if we stop fighting.
