Hi yall..thanks so much for being a great community! So, I just started carving after 30 years..I made these shell prints and like the way they came out except presentation wise. Something is aesthetically off. Too much white? Ideas? I put a mat and frame on them and they looked horrible. Would a color paper help. I really want to make them work. The paper is even whiter than photo. Not sure what would be a fix. TY!

Stupid question, but since I’ve just recently gotten back into printmaking, I see a lot of posts with people using wouldn’t handled carving tools on easy carve or linoleum. I’ve only ever used the cheap plastic hand ones. really not sure which would be the best choice and that wouldn’t handled ones look so much better. Thank you!
