I’m planning to start a waffle business in Hyderabad as a secondary income (budget around ₹10–15L).

I’m genuinely interested in the food space and want to build something long-term, not just a quick return setup.

Before I finalize, I’d really appreciate insights from people who are already running waffle/dessert businesses:

  1. What are the biggest mistakes you made in the beginning?

  2. How important is location vs brand/franchise?

What are the real monthly profits after all expenses (rent, Swiggy/Zomato, staff)?

  1. Do you see consistent repeat customers, or is it mostly impulse buying?

  2. Is going with a franchise actually worth it, or is starting an independent brand better?

  3. Any operational challenges (staff, supply, consistency) I should be prepared for?

  4. I’m especially interested in hearing from Hyderabad owners or similar markets.
