I'm trying to use voice-over recording on my video. I click the microphone button, I do my voice-over, I click the button again and no clip appears on the timeline even though I could hear myself while recording.

I've restarted my PC, cleared Premiere Pro cache and media, reinstalled Premiere Pro, started like eight new projects, tweaked every possible audio setting, nothing has worked.

I've spent hours going through google and none of the articles there proved useful so I was wondering if I could get some fresh insight? I'm using the latest version of premiere and as of April 1 my exact settings were working so I have no clue what changed.
