Langford Recon solo
Does anyone have any experience with the Langford Recon 14' 3"? Curious if you would recommend it, how it paddles/tracks on potentially large windy lakes, and could it accommodate a paddler, a 60L food barrel, a 60L sealine dry bag pack and medium dog? I am thinking of purchasing a solo canoe for a 3 week solo trip in northern Ontario this late summer/ fall instead of using my 16' prospector (swift). My two concerns with using my current boat is 1) handling it in windy conditions on larger lakes 2) since I would be paddling from the now seat facing the other way, and the seats have a forward tilt to them, it isn't super ideal that the seat would now have a backwards tilt to it. I've paddled this boat on many shorter three-four day solo trips and it's been fine but I think for three weeks these concerns could be more a nuisance. Thanks in advance! (Oh and any bonus advise on convincing my wife that we, but really I, need a second canoe would be helpful, lol.)
