Why does Gaijin hate our money?
You see this rifle squad? It's on sale right now. 50% off, $22. Now I DO play tier 4 but a rifle squad with no AT or Engineers, that's going to see tier 5 all the time? Not even if it was 90% off. Hard pass. You know what could get me to crack open my wallet though? 2 things.
Those fuckin shirts. I want 'em. And if buying this squad gave me the ability to put that shirt on my OTHER squads, that would get me half way to a purchase.
Let me unequip their premium weapons. Let me put those rifles in the stockpile and give 'em to other squads as if they were battlepass weapons that I had to buy.
You might say "Oh that'll break balance." or for whatever reason "It can't be done."
No it won't, the guns are already locked to their intended tier and premium squad soldiers usually get fewer perk points. PLUS there's the Premium Soviet paratrooper squad. This SINGULAR squad that can use SMGs and assault rifles, as well as bolt, semi and auto rifles of any tier.
This raises the value. Suddenly we get something out of the purchase. Sales on customization orders go the roof, and squads that don't get bought start moving. How many of those rifle squads sold across all platforms this sale? Probably sub 100. Hell, do this for event squads too and watch the player numbers and silver bundle purchases shoot up next time the silver box comes around. You guys are sitting on your most profitable month in years and just going "Nah." I don't get it.
