Studying Dentistry with Disability
Hi everyone, I’m currently deciding as to whether I should apply to dental or medical school. I really want to become a dentist because dentists have had a huge impact on my life & drastically reduced my pain throughout my life. However, I had surgery on my my non dominant hand when I was a child which resulted in my right thumb being smaller & slightly deformed compared to my left thumb & restricted mobility. I typically wear a prosthetic throughout the day so it looks almost identical to a real thumb. I was wondering whether I should even apply for dental school given my disability? Any advice would be much appreciated
