It's not that much (25k) but seems odd. I work in a different school in the same POE now. Should I even pay? Why doesn't my current school ask about this?

I heard this is a thing but I'm having a hard time finding out how to actually do this. A lot of companies I contacted said they don't do this for personal items. Am I barking up the wrong tree?
Am I better off just sending boxes via the post office? It would be maybe a couple dozen boxes, no furniture.
