Okay so this is something for the lower-income moms like me which has helped me a bit.
Whenever you receive some extra money from something (maybe a commission, a gift, or whatever), you should save it in a bank account you often don't use.
Don't get me wrong, you KNOW it's there, but you know you don't often visit it because you have a more comfortable option and you often forget about it.
Better if you tend to move money around on "automatic" mode, like, if the money gets deposited on one account, it automatically moves it to the alt bank account.
It's a way that helps me save money for emergencies. Whenever me and my husband have money, we tend to make our budget around that. We have too much debt and we want to finish it as soon as possible, but sometimes emergencies just happen and you NEED that little saving.
So whenever we're in a desperate situation and we need to search for every single penny we have, we tend to open the bank accounts we don't use "just in case" just to find those savings and it's like "OH THANK GOD"
Idk maybe it'll help some of you as well?
