I swear I’m asking in good faith: I just saw this on YouTube, and I’m a little perplexed.
For context, I’m ethnically Jewish and not a Zionist. I thought maybe this equation of Z=JS was, like, religious supremacy? But based on the comments, I don’t think so. I added maybe “white Jewish supremacy” might be more accurate? But a lot of people are saying, “nah, it’s Jewish supremacy.”
My understanding is that Zionism = (generally) belief that the Israeli govt has the right to maintain power over the big chunk of land we call Israel and/or Palestine, and the non-Israelis living there don’t have a say in the matter (to put it mildly).
Would like to hear your takes on this. I’m getting the sense there’s antisemitism built into this, but that might be my hypervigilance talking (many fellow lefties have said some shocking things).
