Hello, I’m an incoming freshman interested in Environmental Science and would love to hear from current students about your experiences.
I would like to know what made you decide to pursue ES, and do you find the major difficult? What are your career goals, and what do you hope to achieve with this degree? I’ve heard it’s a flexible field, so I’m also curious what kinds of jobs or areas you’re planning to go into.
For upperclassmen, I’d especially appreciate your insight on how your experience finding internships was, and when did you start looking? Do you feel prepared for a job or grad school after graduation? What do you wish you had done earlier in your college career, and are there any classes, skills, or experiences you recommend prioritizing? Also, how helpful was the department when it comes to internships or career guidance?
Lastly, are there any clubs or organizations you would recommend joining?
Thank you in advance for your help!
