Hey everyone!
So, I’m currently on the hunt for something specific since I noticed it felt lacking from a lot of the modern stuff I listen to. Harmony vocals sound like they are mixed MUCH quieter now across the board than they were in the 60’s-80’s, and I’m dying to find more modern songs and artists that try to tap into that aspect of classic rock/pop and modernize it.
For example of the harmonies and volume I’m kind of looking for, think How Much I Feel by Ambrosia, Lyin’ Eyes by Eagles, Crystal Ball by Styx, Hold On by Kansas, Lonesome Loser by Little River Band, or Leader of the Band by Dan Fogelberg.
I am a prog metal nerd, so I already know about Haken
& Caligula’s Horse for crazy vocal harmony stuff, and on the more country side I know Midland taps in to the Eagles harmony style, but I’m open to pretty much any genre for recommendations!
Thanks in advance!
