I (22F) want to put my foot down and am deciding to move out from my once physically & emotionally abusive (from 7y to 19y), now restrictive household. The basic rundown for my decision is due to the fact that my parents do not allow me to work for anyone else other than them, and have confirmed that they want to keep me in their house for as long as they live (they had me as more of an asset, than an actual child). Currently at my age, I feel like this is no way for me to live and I've tolerated too much. At this point, any time spent in this household is coming to my mental detriment. I am currently finishing up my 2nd year of uni and am seeking a deferment (my parents are in charge of the finances and this is to stablise myself first before I continue.)

Anybody at my age can just tell their parents that they're moving out, getting a job, live their own life, but I can't say that to them because they will most definitely stop at nothing to keep me in this house (and they have before). I have my IC, birth cert and my previous passport, trying to find my current one as my parents took it away from me. I am in talks with a trusted therapist, partner and friends who've known about my plan & situation since high school. I would like to know some things:

  1. Any methods of tracking that I can restrict / take care of before my move (to prevent anyone from their side from stalking me) - bank accounts, uni, etc. Basically anywhere they can extract information about my new residence or general location

  2. Process of making a police report (to inform them about my safety and intentions ; just worried about the attitude of the police towards cases like mine) as well as the process of getting a new passport if I don't manage to find it

  3. Any trusted organizations I can reach out to to help me. I've had one that helped me few years back but abandoned me at a dire spot

Many thanks in advance.
