My pup (17mo aussie/shih-tzu mix) has been an absolute angel up until about a week ago and I am slowly getting the puppy blues again. Two days ago I clipped her fur a little. I only did a 10 minute session to get the back half because I know she doesn't like sitting for long periods of time. I've used the razer on her many times before but this time she seemed a bit more scared of it. Since then she rarely takes treats from me and it requries a lot of coaxing. She refuses to come to the front of the house where the kitchen is while I'm cooking. She just sits cuddled up to her dad (my bf) going as far as to put him between herself and me.
She won't come to me when I call her. She won't do any tricks except for "play dead" where she's in a more submissive position. In the event she starts to come over to me, she turns around and retreats to her spot in the corner at the foot of the bed.
I feel like I've done something wrong, but I'm also wondering if she's hit those teenage/puberty years where she's being a little butthole about everything maybe? I just don't know what to do for her right now because before recently she has been a bright, shiny and happy little girl.
