For the following molecule, it has a Cs point group (one plane going through the O and 2 Cl's). If a H NMR was taken at low temperatures such that the molecule is stereochemically rigid, how many proton signals would it have? Im thinking that it is 4 (2 from CH2 and 2 from CH3) because the ethyl groups on the one nitrogen cant be exchanged (rigid) but are related to the other ethyl groups on the other nitrogen through the mirror plane.

Ive been trying to determine the structure of a complex from its IR, H NMR, elemental analysis, and mass spectrum but im getting conflicting structures (ie. a structure supported by H NMR and IR), but not elemental analysis and MS. Is there a case where mass spectrometry and/or elemental analysis would fail? maybe involving higher nuclearity metal complexes (eg. binuclear)
