When people criticise something by just describing it in the most simple terms to make it sound trivial.
“I don’t like football, it’s just men chasing a ball around” yeah no shit everything can sound trivial when you do that. That’s not an actual criticism you, could literally do it to anything.
Why would I want to listen to music? It’s just air vibrating. Why would I want to watch a movie? It’s just flashing colours.
It’s also exclusively used by people who think they gain some kind of social standing by pretending to dislike something, without ever actually developing an opinion themselves
