In the fall I cut back my Miss Kim lilac bush as I thought that was when I was supposed to. This year all my blooms are at the base of the bush or deep inside the bush and can’t be seen unless I part the leaves. Any new growth is longer and taller than the blooms. Does anyone know what I did incorrectly and how can I fix it so my blooms next year are more prominent on the outside of the bush.
