Hi, moms. We are thinking of looking for a new pedia kaso dinidiscourage kami ng mga secretary sa hospital.

Reasons we want to switch:

(1) We feel like the doctor is very extreme in approaching our baby’s eczema. Even with no flare-ups (just residual redness after feeding and skin contact with me minutes prior to our check up) gusto nya kami ipag steroid pa rin for a week + cetirizine (baby is not itching btw) + telling me to not eat dairy.

I understand that is her practice and she knows more than I do but I am hoping to find a pedia who tries to find the root cause first rather than put a full stop on everything. I also want to be a bit conservative with using steroids.

(2) Ang gaspang ng secretary. She is unorganized and makes jokes na hindi naglaland so ending nacoconfuse kami ano ba yung nangyayari.

Last time we went, I was obviously breastfeeding LO sa waiting area (with the nursing cover), she called our name, sumenyas then “lika timbang na” then walked away. Mind you, timbang pa lang un, hindi pa yung actual check up, which could have waited until my son is not attached to me, and the way she said it was just confusing and somewhat disrespectful. Husband ended up running after her to ask if okay lang after ng feed and she responded “ah oo timbang lang naman”

Ang concern ko kasi yung pedia is someone who will see our baby until his teens, I want it to be a right fit. Kaso dinidiscourage kami ng ibang secretary kasi “hindi na pwede”. I suppose because of some code between doctors? Kaso I don’t want to be stuck and be unhappy at every check up. I don’t know what to do 🥲

Pls don’t judge or be mean. I just really want to figure this out.
