My friend had to break up with her boyfriend since he didn't like her her being my friend because we dated over a decade ago.
Back in college I dated my now friend for a few months before we realized we worked better as friends and broke up. This was a bit over a decade ago now. We've been good friends ever since. She's been seeing this guy for about 6 months now and he was told about me early on. We've hung out several times together and he never seemed to have any issues with me until a few weeks ago when he suddenly gave her the ultimatum to cut contact with me after a friend of his got cheated on by his girlfriend sleeping with an ex boyfriend. She tried to assure him that there was nothing to worry about but he just kept getting more and more upset about her not cutting me off until she gave up and broke up with him. I feel horrible even though I know its not my fault. It really sucks because she seemed to really like him up until he became paranoid and insecure about this whole thing. She's acting like she's alright but I know she's hurting.
