So I'm trying to install a new pendant light, to replace an old chandelier light. This is an old house in NYC where there aren't ground wires in the boxes. I got the chandelier uninstalled, but now I don't know how to mount the new pendant light. Does this junction box need to be replaced to accommodate one that can mount a regular light? I'm guessing there's 3 wires because 1 hot wire is for a previous ceiling fan switch?
