I’m in England

Basically I have fallen out with a friend, I used to record videos of scenic roads for them on my phone while driving. The videos show me clearly using a phone while driving and some of the videos include my face.

We’ve had a very bad falling out and this “friend” has just said they’re taking those videos to the police so I’ll lose my driving licence.

The thing is I sent these videos over 6 months ago. Am I correct in thinking since this is a summary offence the police are powerless to act since the offence occurred over 6 months ago?
