
Hello! I made cut out cookies with royal icing for the first time for my kids 2nd birthday. The cookies themselves were *chefs kiss* so soft and delicious. Thank you to your baking bestie for that one!!! The icing on the other hand I had so many issues with. Initially I couldn’t get it to set. I’m chalking that up to a humidity issue as it was raining and incredibly humid.
The other issue was the flavor of the icing. I also used your baking besties recipe and to me it just tasted like straight powdered sugar. Has anyone else had this experience and what did you do to remedy it? I’m thinking it may have been the quality of meringue powder I used? Before I knew that that could affect your icing so greatly I just bought whatever hobby lobby had on hand 🥲🤦♀️
