What overnight Canadian school trips or exchanges did your schools offer in high school or grades 7 and 8?

I went to school in Ontario. We had trips to Quebec City and a camp trip in Ontario in grades 7 and 8. There was also a trip to Moosonee, which I didn't go on.

In high school the higher year phys ed class had a winter camping trip in Ontario and some classmates did an exchange program with students in British Columbia. I imagine a trip to Ottawa was offered one year, but I didn't go.

Just curious what overnight trips or exchanges your schools offered within Canada.

How did my other post get views?

I wanted to post to a sub, but I accidentally posted to my own account.

When I realised my error, I posted to the correct sub and deleted the post to my own account.

However, I was surprised that the post to my own account had received a number of views.

I thought my account was private and it's set so any posts only appear in the sub I post to.

Not a big deal, but just curious.

UK Accents

I turned on BBC radio and I thought Ant or Dec was talking, but it turns out it's Owain Wyn Evans.

After listening a bit longer, I could tell it wasn't Ant or Dec, but I think his accent is very similar. I was surprised to learn he's from Southwest Wales and not somewhere near Newcastle.

If you're from the UK do you think a mild Geordie accent (like Ant or Dec) sounds similar to a Southwest Wales accent or do they sound very distinct to you?
