Location: Chicago suburbs, 20k gallon in-ground gunite pool

The pool is getting drained and cleaned today and I'd like to touch up a few spots with a polisher, but I won't be able to get to it until tomorrow morning. Is it risky to leave the pool empty overnight, work on it in the morning, and then start filling tomorrow? The total empty time would be about 24 hours.

We have had a rainy spring so the ground it pretty wet, if that matters.
