I’m trying to understand how people actually connect PLC systems to IoT / cloud setups in real plants.

Are you using SCADA exports, edge devices (like Raspberry Pi/industrial PCs), or directly using protocols like OPC UA / MQTT from PLCs?

Also curious:

What’s the most common setup you’ve seen in production?

Biggest pain points when trying to get useful data out of legacy PLC systems?

Just trying to understand real-world approaches, not vendor stuff.
