I cannot figure out what I have screwed up.

I tried to run a 3mf file and now I cannot for the life of me get PLA to print correctly.

I have tried 3 different spools of PLA, two regular and one pla-cf

the bottom adheres to the build plate very well, in fact to damned well. It is a cryo glacier plate but everything above 3-5mm is just fragile and stringy. I tried to print the enclosure and the base just ripped off of it. then I had to use a scaper to get the bottom off because it was like glue on the plate.

Now for the weird part, or more weird part. if I print tpu is prints beautifully. good adhere. once it cools pops right off the plate.

The cryo plate is new as well but it does not make sense that that would cause the top area to be so fragile.

I took a video of the supports inside as well as pics of a project I printed and the stuff that feels like it is glued to the build plate.

will attach pics one the video loads.

Has anybody seen one of these in the wild.
I love the kettle helm but wondering if it sits on top of the head or on the back of the head.
I have seen some kettle helms that are tipped with a more open face design vs the one pulled down low on the brow.

The strap seems to be situated to have it cover the top half of the mask so not sure that is what I am looking for

just interested in seeing how it sits on the mask.

so I ordered the enclosure kit and downloaded the file from flashforge.
the plate that came with my printer is pretty beat up so but I decided to try to give it a ride again.... the filiment stuck to the plate then made whispy spagetti after about 15 minutes. In fact it stuck so well I cannot get it off now.

figured that maybe the plate had finally had it. Just got a brand new plate ( cryo glacier) so figured I would git it a try. Same thing happened. This was a brand new spool of filament from a brand I have used multiple times.

so my thinking it one of these options.

  1. bad batch of filament. hey it happens and this is cheapo stuff so maybe I just drew the short straw.
  2. the enclosure prints come in as a 3mf not at .stl. I am used to printing from STL, slicing them myself and tinkering with the settings. wonder if the 3mf screwed up my settings and that is why I only get adhesion for the first 5-6 layers.
  3. I am a moron and am missing something.

so my questions:
has anybody had issues feeding printing the enclosure files?
should I have just loaded the files direct to the machine from a usb drive and not resliced them?
any suggestions for wispy spaghetti after a few millimeters of hard adhesion?

FYI I started new project and did a test print with the filament ro rule it out as the culprit.
