Does anyone know where I could get a dining room chair repaired? It's black walnut and one of the legs snapped off where the leg meets the seat. It looks like it needs someone to remove the remains of the wooden leg, craft a new one and reattach it. I've found people who repair scratches on furniture but this needs a craftsperson. Thanks for any suggestions.

I retired from my employer after 33 years and had the option for a monthly pension (non-inflation adjusted) of $1,400 or to take a lump sum of $575K. I'm worried about inflation over the long haul (I'm 65 years old) so I rolled the lump sum over into a brokerage IRA. I now want to create my own DIY pension that meets or exceeds the amount I would have gotten had I taken the pension, while giving me some long term inflation protection through growth of the lump sum amount or increase in dividends over time.
Is it too simplistic to split the investment amount into ten roughly equal shares and invest in strong dividend stocks? I'm thinking of TGEIX, Enterprise Products Partners, Enbridge, MAIN, ARES, SPYI, JEPIX,, NNN REIT, OneMain Financial, and Realty Income Corporation.
Does this sound like a good plan or is there something I'm not thinking about when it comes to creating a DIY retirement pension? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
