every single time i come across a post about how writing is objective, or about how the 3-5 same fucking characters that dont have the depth these people are suggesting it always has to be voiced in the most obnoxious, and loudest form of fraudulent intellect possible. it always HAS to include big words being unnecessarily used for a topic as silly as fiction, they always include purely sophisticated essays/paragraphs jargoning normies with literally the most misleading bullshit masked as being an intellectual when in reality they are someone that cannot voice out what they actually like and just follow and sheep the herd without any second thought or critical thinking.

they always assume that suffering in media = immediately peak, good writing, because of course it reflects on how fucked up our human society is from a realistic perspective, dude!!! yo!!! and then the media in question is literally the biggest nothing burger that you have ever consumed. the biggest example of this is oyasumi punpun, always hyped up as being this insanely advanced and complex piece of work that “only read this if youre 18 and above dude or you wont understand it!!!” which is in truth just a way to backpedal from any critique in how its depth is exaggerated and not that good as they make it seem. i read this, and i am saying this as a 19 year old, its genuinely the biggest piece of shit i wasted my time on, the same, predictable patterns and abuse with the same message every single fucking chapter, sexual assault over and over and and over and fucking over again with no true message besides “dont trust adults man!”

if you dare to even show any constructive and well structured critique of any of this slop, you are just gonna get dismissed as “oh as if an immature normie like you can hope to understand anything like us smart and intellectual and educated people do, you are just a larper, lol.” no, maybe its because writing has no objective basis and varies from person to person.
