Have y'all ever given up on a Mega Man game before?

Usually I'll only give up if I make it to the final boss, like in Mega Man 7. In Mega Man X3, I did give up during the Sigma Stages, but I at least made it past a few boss fights.

But the snow boarding section in Wily Stage 1 is driving me crazy. At first I thought these sections were just annoying, but now I'm starting to hate them. Should I skip to Mega Man 9 before I crashout?
