I am at my wits end with this issue so thought I’d see if anyone here had any suggestions!

About two weeks ago, I had an email to say that my AppleCare payment had been declined, and that I needed to update my payment method in a month or I would lose the insurance. I checked my card at that time, and all of the information was correct. I have also had multiple other Apple subscriptions go through fine since that date, and I have a second card that is on my Apple account which can also be used and has no issues.

I contacted Apple Support once, and they had a look and couldn’t figure out what the problem was, so they told me to delete the payment method and add it back in. However, I kept getting the pop-up to say I had active subscriptions and couldn’t delete the payment method (even though I have an alternative one on there). I had been on the phone with them for over an hour at that point, so unfortunately I had to go and said I would call them back.

I’ve just got off the phone with Apple Support again today, and they said the same thing. I explained that I’ve already tried deleting the payment method but it won’t let me, the subscription is refusing to come out of my second payment method for an unknown reason, and I have no other payment methods I can add. I was told that my card had expired around the time of the declined payment, and this actually turned out to be correct - I was just oblivious as all of my other payments had continued to come out of that account as Apple Pay updates automatically with my bank.

Anyways, the Support team seemed to think that was problem solved so I’ve just had the call ended but I’m still stuck in the same place - I can’t add a new payment method, and I can’t delete the one that’s causing the problem. I have just now gone so far as to cancel all of my existing Apple subscriptions, but that doesn’t seem to have made a difference, it still won’t let me delete it.

Has anyone experienced this before? Does anyone know how I can possibly fix this issue? I have two weeks before my Apple Care insurance will just be cancelled completely and I am stressed!

I’m in the UK if that is relevant!
