American here, moving to Singapore later this year to marry my Singaporean partner of 5 years!
We’ve already completed the PMLA and received our LLE, meaning next step will be LTVP+PLOC. I understand that, subject to HR’s knowledge, I can be hired more or less as a local.
The one hang-up I have is quitting my job and looking for a new one. Based on my YOE and salary, EP is more or less out of reach, so I’d either have to job hunt under LTVP+PLOC or hope for a company to sponsor S-Pass before I move.
Does anyone have any insights into either path? Whether it’s finding a company willing to hire S-Pass (did you reach out to recruiters? is it common at all for westerners to find jobs this way?) or LTVP+PLOC (how did you manage the employment gap? did your experience translate?)
