Need suggestions replacing Hoover Clean Slate for disabled person
hey, i'm the disabled person who needs a new spot cleaning shampoo vac. i've had a hoover clean slate since about 2021. i need something that i can use when i need to use it. tonight it took just over 2 hours to make it spray the water and my hands can't take it. i clean my hoover immediately after every use and let the tanks dry for a few days before i pack things back up and i'm not afraid to care for something between use but the problem is if it's going to force me to work the pump for 2 hours then i just can't use it. i'm exhausted and am ready to replace it and i don't want a hoover again if all of their vacuums have issues with the spray functions. i'll try to list here my needs and such:
will be used on couch
will be used on stairs carpet
will be used because these cats insist on leaving hairballs on the 20sqft of carpet in this 800sqft home
must be small because of the stairs, an upright is not practical for me for this purpose
must spray, lol
i have an upright main vac and a stick vac so it doesn't need to do extra
will be used as needed which can mean once a week or once a month depending on the fur lords
needs to have spare heads because i refuse to clean my couch with the same brush that cleans the floor
i did like the clean slate a lot at first because it is really light weight and portable and it was easy to dismantle to clean, which is good for me. i've got some nerve issues and i didn't struggle with it any. it did great for the pet messes but after a few years every time i'd use it it would take a little bit longer to get it to work. tonight was just over 2 hours, before it was an hour and a half, and before that just about an hour. before that it was 30 mins and before that it was starting to take up to 20 mins to get going and i did all the things the book says to do plus going on youtube. i'm just done with it even if it can be fixed, it would probably just start up again. i guess about 6 years is a good life for a small vacuum that got used a lot? and yes, i did flush the line with water to rinse the soap so it should not be buildup.
is there a better competing style vacuum out there? right now i don't know what not to look for. i don't want to pick something only for its size if it will malfunction in a way that i can't cope with. thanks for advice on this. my shopping options are home depot, target, best buy, and the internet. i'm not sure about a budget but this one was about $100 so maybe similar.
