hii i’m 21 and have a long list of health issues regarding my pelvic floor and bladder… suffering from chronic utis and just finished physical therapy, needed for having such tight muscles i suddenly couldn’t even have pain free intimacy with my spouse for the past 3 years that only now subsided. i was taking 900mg of gabapentin a day for it. it was excruciating 😭. never tested positive for anything more than BV or Yeast tho.
doc is recommending a pap smear but i am so scared of the pain. it’s not the speculum that im afraid of, it’s the actual scraping of the cervical cells that has me so stressed out. my gyno told me she recommended i don’t get a iud because the pain would be way too much for someone like me. i’m afraid a pap would hurt very very bad for the same reasons. one of my friends told me she failed three pap smears due to the pain and needs to be put under for it. what the hell?????
