I work for a sports team. Me personally, I’m on the video content side. We have a “social media team” of 4-5 people and I’m beginning to realize that all they do is write tweet copy on twitter.
They only work on twitter. They are constantly pulling people from my team over to them to make edits for them so that they can write the copy and hit post.
But whenever my team and I request help for our stuff, they don’t jump in to assist.
Is it normal for a social media team to only write copy for one platform? I also thought they were responsible for all channels and also created content or those channels.
It’s getting frustrating for my team and I to be creating content for 4-5 platforms + all of our sponsor deliverables while the over inflated social team writes copy from the comfort of their bedrooms.
As you can tell, I’m a bit annoyed right now but want to ask folks here if I’m crazy or wrong.
