I build/work on trailer wiring tools and I’m trying to understand what people actually want in a better trailer circuit tester.

For anyone who works on trailers often: what do you currently use to test 7-way or 4-pin trailer lights. Why do you choose a trailer tester box over just using a truck?

I’m especially curious about:

What tester you use now

What you paid for it

What annoys you about it

Whether battery-powered testing matters

Whether ground/short diagnostics would actually be useful

What features would make you say, “I’d buy that”

Not trying to spam a product link. Just trying to understand the real-world pain points to make a new product that helps make this easier.

Thanks in advance for the advice!
