Hi! First time posting here
I've applied to a job for a very well known company.
I think it's just nerves getting the best of me but I just wanted to run this by some people who have experience with this.
It's a 12 month contract role for a brand new position that no one has done before. The job is typically just figuring out a system to manage assets and create a high amount of digital advertisements. Formatting, template creation, finding ways to automate things etc. They couldn't tell me specifics exactly because they just don't know what or how this role will go.
My current experience in the industry:
- 3 yr advanced graphic design diploma
- 3 month internship with a marketing agency
- about a year and a half as a marketing and design associate for a cannabis company / dispensary (designing for 4 store locations)
- some freelance work & one project that the campaign was featured on CTV news
I am nervous about a contract role as it's not something I'm very experienced with. Not sure if this could turn into a full time position either.
I've already done an initial 15 minute call, moved on to the first round of interviews virtually, and I just received an email from the Talent Acquisition Administrator about an hour ago saying they want do do an hour in-person interview at their headquarters in Toronto. The job is $70-75k for the 12 months. I am currently making an hourly wage and it's pretty crap. The job would be about an hour and a bit away from me but I'm not in a particularly large city anyways.
Nervous about getting another role afterwards. But I know that it's gonna be awesome experience and will look great on my resume and will probably help me get a new role in the future.
